Get ready for the breeding season! Some cows haven’t even calved yet, but we all need to start planning for the breeding season.
XLVets hosted a FREE webinar “Synch, Breed and Succeed: Innovations for a Successful Breeding Programme”. We were joined by a panel of experts who have a wealth of experience in dairy cow and heifer reproduction in Ireland .
Our webinar moderator Jerry Crowley MVB CertDHH, Glenbower Veterinary was joined by Marie Louise Ryan MVB CertDHH, Mulcair Veterinary Clinic, Martin Kavanagh, Munster Bovine, Business Development and Sustainability Manger and Charles Chavasse BVMS CertDHH, Zoetis, Area Veterinary Manager, we also had a Tipperary dairy farmer Michael Ring.
This webinar educated farmers on the benefits of a tight calving, a fertile herd and how to manage them, including both latest and traditional aids in heat detection, the use of AI, both dairy and beef, sexed sorted and conventional semen and how to get the most from your vet practice and synchronisation programmes.
The webinar was live streamed via YouTube and included a mix of on farm demos and discussion, live discussions with our panellists and Q&A from our audience.
