Due to Glasslyn Vets recent expansion, they are looking for 3 mixed animal vets to add to their friendly team of 20 vets.

Glasslyn Vets are a long established , independently owned, progressive veterinary practice serving the rich dairy heartland of South and West Cork. They have clinics in Bandon (hospital status), Kinsale, Dunmanway and recently Macroom(following the acquisition of Muskerry vets). Glasslyn have 5 dedicated small animal vets and 15 farm vets whose workload is 80/90% dairy with some beef, equine and sheep. They have a strong Herd Health ethos and are keen to develop this further. Glasslyn are members of XLVets and actively support CPD for all our staff.

They are looking for:

A large animal vet with interest in first opinion equine work

This position is for someone proficient in both cattle and equine practice – replacing colleague who had >50% equine case load – there is plenty of equine work for self-motivated, progressive candidate

CPD and equipment support given to help develop

Two mixed animal vets with farm animal focus

* Part of large team of farm vets

Ideal candidates will:

* Be registered with the VCI

An opportunity has arisen for two dedicated vets to join the friendly and progressive team at Ormonde Veterinary.

Ormonde Veterinary is an 8 full time, 2 part time vet practice that has been providing a high standard of veterinary care for farm and companion animals
(75%/25%) in Kilkenny for over 30 years. Even though the work is predominantly dairy, Ormonde also has a number of beef and sheep clients. Kilkenny is an intensive dairying area and currently we have over 40,000 dairy cows in our practice.

Due to an expanding case load Ormonde are looking for two dedicated vets to join their team.
• One post would ideally suit a certificate holder or someone with an interest in pursuing further experience and qualifications in farm animal practice.
• The second post would suit a vet with experience, looking for the next step up in their career although an enthusiastic new graduate will be considered.

Due to Ormonde’s progressive ethos, regular herd health planning and in-depth herd health investigations are an important part of their day-to-day work. Applicants must have a genuine interest and be eager to complete this preventative work to a high standard.

Ormonde work as a team with a strong emphasis on collaboration and communication. They value the input of each team member, and are open to new ideas so you will have an opportunity to grow and develop within the practice. They run a monthly clinical club and find it encourages sharing of knowledge and interests.
