They are a 10 vet 5 nurse practice busy mixed practice with a quickly growing small animal hospital. Their purpose built small animal hospital provides an enthusiastic vet with all the necessary equipment to progress their skills. In-house lab, DR xray, two operating suites and prep room, endoscopy & laprascopy, full range of orthopaedic equipment etc. The role can be tailored to the candidate’s strengths and may suit either an experienced vet or a new graduate. 4 or 5 days a week option with no out of hours and one Saturday a month.

The XLVet Graduate Mentor Programme is available to new or recent graduates and superb support will be available from the entire team. Advanced certificates encouraged and funded for the right candidate.

5 vet, 3 nurse team 50% LA / 50% SA. LA client base is mainly suckler, beef & sheep with a small but growing number of dairy clients. Minimal equine work.
One in five rota with a flexible four day week.

Purpose built on site large animal facilities with in-house Faecal testing & lab , LA & SA ultrasound, fertility testing equipment ; dental machine, orthopaedic equipment, DR X-ray system , Haem / Biochem machines, gas anaesthesia & monitoring equipment. Laser therapy.

CPD, VCI , AVSPNI & VDS paid. Vehicle and accommodation can be arranged. Excellent backup & mentoring for both large and small animal cases, caseload can be tailored to suit preference.

Duties for this position will include, in-patient care, kennel cleaning, feeding, laundry, general housekeeping, and any other ad hoc duties. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week and will include a Saturday rota.
