XLVets, Lely and MSD Animal Health are hosting a series of FREE farmer events starting October 20th. Over a 3 week period we will visit 6 farms, where we will learn how dairy farmers are using data to improve cow health, production efficiency & profit. We will hear about smart technologies from MSD Animal Health’s SenseHub’s Heat Detection & Health Monitoring Collars and Lely’s Robotic Milking Systems and an XLVets local veterinary expert will talk about Selective Dry Cow Therapy.
- Catherine Heffernan, MSD Animal Health will discuss “Heat and Health Monitors for Irish Dairy Farms”
- Sean Callan, Lely will focus on “Is Robotic Milking Better for Health and Profit?”
- Each local XLVets speaker will be looking at “The in and out of SDCT”
- Panel Discussion with Catherine Heffernan, Sean Callan, a local XLVets vet and a farmer . This discussion will focus on the “Use of Data to Improve Production Efficiency”
