This year marks the 15th anniversary of XLVets Ireland; a milestone that invites both celebration and reflection.
What began in 2010 as a shared vision among like-minded independent veterinary practices has grown into a dynamic, member-owned community that supports excellence in veterinary care across 32 Practices operating 55 Clinics. Our foundation was and remains simple but powerful: by working together, we can achieve more – for our practices, our people, the animals and clients we serve.
Over the past 15 years we have seen practices grow stronger through shared knowledge, innovation and mutual support. We have educated, engaged with and empowered experienced & new vets, nurses and the wider practice team, to shape better business practices and contributed meaningfully to animal health and welfare in Ireland.
Looking ahead, I believe the next 15 years will be defined by even greater collaboration, digital transformation, with a continued focus on excellence, sustainability and wellbeing. We are not just evolving with the industry; we are helping to lead its direction, grounded in the same values that brought us together.
Speaking on the milestone, XLVets Ireland Chairman Sean Coffey adds “It is a great honour to celebrate fifteen years of the independent veterinary network, XLVets Ireland. What began as a collaboration between like-minded practices – brought together to share knowledge, expertise and business strategies, has grown into a strong, supportive network of colleagues and friends. Together, we cooperate, collaborate and communicate across all areas of veterinary care to deliver outstanding service for our clients and their animals, while also securing a sustainable future for our vets, veterinary nurses and teams. As the veterinary profession continues to evolve, XLVets Ireland remains committed to ensuring that all our clients receive the highest standard of practical, sustainable and empathetic care for their animals, driven by the hard work and dedication of our members.”
